CAC And FMYD Partner To Create 5 Million Jobs In 5 Years

In a latest update given by the CAC management, it was revealed that during a visit to the Commission by the Minister of State for Youth Development, Mr. Ayodele Olawande who was represented by Eberechi Okereke, the Corporate Affairs Commission and the Federal Ministry of Youth Development are collaborating to register 7 million businesses and create 5 million jobs in the next four years.

The collaboration will ensure training for the youth to be self-reliant in graphic design, mobile app building, and freelancing, amongst others.
According to CAC News, the project will be piloted via the Nigerian Youth Academy (NiYA), a hub of inspiration, transformation, limitless possibilities, and opportunity for the future of Nigeria under the auspices of the Federal Ministry of Youth Development.
The minister further stated that the proposed partnership is composed of four components, which include learning, community showcasing, digital job fairs and careers, and business start-up job support.
About 34,000 youths trained and equipped with modern technology solutions, including young lawyers and accountants, were already on board and ready to be accredited with the CAC as agents, Eberechi Okereke revealed.
To ensure the success of the project, Minister Olawande solicited the Commission’s support in ensuring seamless registration services for the Ministry.
In addition to integration with their portal, he stressed the need for enlightenment as well as short-term class sessions for their prospective agents.
Responding, the Registrar-General of CAC, Ishaq Hussaini Magaji, SAN, assured of the Commission’s support and readiness to partner with the Ministry to realise the objective.
The CAC boss therefore pledged immediate assistance by providing competent personnel to appropriately guide them through the process.

Hussaini Ishaq Magaji, SAN, used the forum to restate his commitment to ensuring and promoting the growth and development of the micro, small, and medium sectors of the economy in line with President Tinubu’s vision to create 50 million jobs for Nigerian youths.
