1. Staff Wells Engineer, Drilling

Role Overview
The Staff Wells Engineer, Drilling, will be responsible for the design, planning, and supervision of drilling, completion, and well intervention operations.
This role involves full integration with relevant asset teams, preparation of detailed cost and time estimates, tracking of relevant metrics during job execution, documentation of after-action reviews (AAR), and handover of wells to exploration and production teams.
What We’re Looking For
- A graduate degree in Engineering or Science
- minimum of eight (8) years of experience in Well Engineering, with at least three years spent as a drilling Engineer
- Demonstrable experience in shallow water and onshore drilling and completion design
- Design experience using Wells Design tools such as WELLCAT, WELLPLAN, COMPASS, etc.
- Possession of IWCF certification could be an added advantage
- Strong commercial skills, including budget management and cost recovery
- Exceptional relationship skills and ability to influence at all levels
- Ability to work and manage in a diverse, multicultural environment
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical input and support for all well-related activities, both in the office and at the work site
- Coordinate and manage logistics to ensure safe and efficient operations
- Supervise and ensure drilling and completion programs are executed safely and efficiently
- Ensure adherence to change control procedures and accurate reporting of all activities
- Integrate and liaise with other disciplines to ensure effective execution of work programs
- Capture and share lessons learned from execution of drilling and completion activities

2. Staff Wells Engineer, Franchise

- Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
- Employment Type: Full-time
- Business Unit: Integrated Gas and Upstream
Role Overview
The Staff Wells Engineer, Franchise, will provide front-end engineering input to assigned projects, both in shallow water and land opportunities.
This role involves providing well-rounded engineering skills, resources, processes, and standards for upfront input into concepts, opportunity framing, field development plans, and project economics.
The Engineer will progress projects to DG4 and support cost-estimating processes.
What We’re Looking For
- A graduate degree in Engineering or Science
- minimum of eight (8) years of oil and gas drilling and completion experience
- Good knowledge of well-engineered design tools and understanding of well-designed processes
- Strong commercial skills and exceptional relationship-building abilities
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out detailed technical design and prepare well-prepared technical specifications documents
- Provide technical and operational skills for significant value in technical inputs into major opportunity development
- Represent well-rounded engineering viewpoint in technical reviews and challenges, contributing out-of-the-box thinking and new ideas
- Develop specifications and standards for HSE critical elements and technical uncertainties
- Leverage global networking for continuous improvement in delivery performance and cost optimization
- Assist in developing technical justifications for new contracts and contracting strategies
