Are you a POS Operator? If yes then this information is for you. The Federal government has made it mandatory for Point of Sale (PoS) terminals whether as AGENT, MERCHANT, or INDIVIDUAL to register with CAC before the commencement of business.
The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has commissioned a Dedicated Centre for Bulk Registration of PoS Operators. Following the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) earlier directive through a memo issued on April 30, 2024, directed all non-individuals on the Agent Banking Authorisation to immediately take steps to register their businesses with the CAC in line with Section 863 of the Companies and Allied Matters Act (CAMA) 2020.
Given the above, we have created this post to give you insight into registering your business with CAC as a POS Operator.
For those who may want to know the center commissioned for registration, you can visit the CAC office in your location or go to the CAC website https://cac.gov.ng for further information.
