Welcome to the state-level phase of the 3MTT Hackathon! #Hackwith3MTT Regional Hackathon! This is your opportunity to demonstrate your innovative technical solutions to some of Nigeria’s most pressing challenges.
Compete alongside your fellow 3MTT cohort 1 learners across various states, earn recognition, and progress to the sub-regional phase. Let’s collaborate, innovate, and celebrate together!
How to participate:
- Eligibility: Ensure you and all team members are enrolled in Cohort 1 of the 3MTT program and reside within your state.
- Form a Team: Teams must consist of a minimum of three (3) and a maximum of five (5) members.
- Choose a Thematic Area: Select one of the identified thematic areas, such as improving healthcare access, enhancing agricultural productivity, ensuring clean water, promoting gender equality, environmental conservation, enhancing community safety, strengthening emergency response, or protecting human rights.
- Describe the problem: Clearly articulate a problem that aligns with your chosen thematic area.
- Craft Your Proposal: Outline your proposed solution, detailing how it will address the problem and the technical components involved.
- Submit your proposal: Complete the provided form with your personal/team information and project proposal, including any supporting documentation.
Prizes:
The top three teams from each state will advance to the sub-regional phase, with 12 sub-regional events taking place in states like Akwa Ibom, Delta, Gombe, Bauchi, Sokoto, Kano, Anambra, Imo, Lagos, Ondo, FCT, and Plateau.
Each state will have three winners, resulting in 36 winners across the Federation.
At each sub-regional event, the top three teams will win the following prizes:
- First Place: NGN 600,000
- Second Place: NGN 300,000
- Third Place: NGN 100,000
Additional prizes include LinkedIn Premium membership, 100 GB MTN data, and swags for all top teams from each state.
Deadline:
- Submission Call: Opens on Friday, May 9th, and closes on Wednesday, May 15th, 2024.
- Announcement of Shortlisted Teams: May 16th, 2024
- Sub-regional Events: Begin on May 21st, 2024 (schedule to be shared)

- Pitching Guidelines: Shortlisted teams will receive information about pitching requirements and logistics for the sub-regional phase.
